Recent Dawsonrentals project
Details of a recent project are detailed below;
Additional goods inwards chill capacity was required The Dawson complex was assembled with an internal height of 3900mm which could accommodate a racking system thus minimising use of floor space whilst maximising storage space.
As the business had grown, space was at a premium and deliveries needed processing quickly to avoid on-site traffic blocking up. An ambient goods inwards office was built within the Dawson complex with a vision panel to give warning of incoming vehicles. This enables staff to be prepared on arrival. The complex was elevated on concrete plinths and the loading dock, supplied with a dock leveller and wheel guides, was built at an angle to the complex to aid the driver when reversing into the dock
Maintenance of the Chill Chain An internal shutter door was fitted behind the loading bay area and the holding complex, which in turn linked with the factory to achieve efficient movement of raw materials in, while maintaining the Chill Chain and HACCP compliance.
Utilise an existing but unused pallet weighting mechanism The pallet weighting mechanism was installed within the loading bay floor to ensure all goods received are recorded for and checked against billing quantities. This ensures only the actual goods received are invoiced for and also allows for a more efficient goods in procedure.
Minimise disruption on site The units were manufactured off-site meaning that installation only was required on the customer’s premises. A Site Manager was supplied to ensure the smooth and safe running of the project
