Applications:
Bakeries- Constant temperature control of the dough mix is crucial for product quality and yield. It results in predictable bread volume and weight, and ensures better texture and flavour. Accurate temperature control of dough also leads to benefits in processing such as better time management, less wastage, less machinery downtime and packaging errors. Ice is the simplest, most effective and most flexible means of targeting the dough temperature where all the issues combine i.e. as an ingredient within the mix itself.
Fish - Ice can be used for a range of applications throughout the seafood industry including the storage, packing, processing, shore-side handling, and transportation of fish. Ice is ideal for preserving fish and greatly improves product life. Also, used as slurry to stabilise defrosted blocks, and used prior to skinning, yield can be significantly increased.
Laboratories, hospitals, universities - Ice can be moulded to pack around limbs, for organ transportation and in particular for bioscience laboratory work in conserving samples.
